A trick for each element of the bathroom

Remember that limescale builds up in any area, so in addition to the products mentioned above, it is essential to have brushes that allow you to reach the entire surface. With these elements and soft cloths, the bathroom will be impeccable:

  • Taps: removing limescale is as easy as rubbing a lemon or spraying white vinegar, leave to act, rinse and dry thoroughly. It is better to remove the aerators and soak them in vinegar for a few hours.

  • Sink: lime scale can also accumulate on the surface of the sink, in which case vinegar or lemon can also be used. But, if they are very incrusted stains, it is more effective to mix them with bicarbonate and to leave to act a good time before rinsing.

  • Toilet: it is one of the places where perhaps it is more complicated to remove the lime. But it is not impossible. Just make a thick mixture of our three natural ingredients and spread it in all the corners. After a couple of hours, just rub a little with a squeegee and rinse to make it perfect. An alternative is to mix vinegar and borax.

  • Shower enclosure: limescale drops are always particularly visible on shower screens and mirrors. The ideal is to always have a cloth at hand to dry immediately. But if there are still traces, simply spray a mixture of white vinegar and water, rinse and wipe with a soft cloth. It will be perfect: streak-free and very shiny.

  • Tiles and countertops: not only the shower screen gets dirty, any surface in contact with water can accumulate limescale. You can use any of the above remedies, but do not forget that both lemon and vinegar are acidic, so it is better to use a sponge with water and baking soda.

  • Pipes: its interior is not seen, and for that reason it is easier to forget, and can even cause clogs or breakdowns. To remove it, pour a good handful of baking soda down the drain and then half a cup of vinegar. Let it act with the stopper on for 20 minutes and pour boiling water down the drain. If it is not enough, you can leave the mixture to act for several hours.

What is very important is not to introduce any object down the drain, in case of persistent clogging, it is best to call a plumber.

As you can see, removing limescale from the bathroom is not so complicated, but it is important not to let it build up. A small weekly review with these remedies and you will never have problems with it again.
