What taps can I use for the shower?

If you are going to make a reform in the bathroom or start a new project for a client, you come to the shower area and ask yourself what taps do we put here? Don't worry, we give you all the keys so you can choose according to each need and aesthetic.

In the first place, we must define the shower area as one where we have a shower tray, or masonry drain, walls and or glass partitions. In the case of having a bathtub, we have other solutions. But in this post we will focus on the dishes and their options.

Thermostatic or single lever

If you still don't know the differences between single-lever and thermostatic taps, we recommend this post. In addition to their aesthetic differences, you will find that if comfort is what prevails, we recommend opting for thermostatic taps, but if instead, the budget is more limited, the best option will be the mixer.

Wall or external

Depending on the design of the space and the possibilities of the work, you can choose between external or wall taps.

MURALS

They are more elegant solutions, take up less space and are easier to clean. The only thing you will have to foresee is how many water outlets the faucet will have, which can be:

  • One way, directly to a shower phone or a shower head.
  • Two ways, shower head + shower phone.
  • Three ways, 2 sprinklers + shower phone or 1 sprinkler + 2 shower phones

In addition, you should complement your wall-mounted faucet with a holder for the shower telephone or a sliding bar, as well as having a shower head and its corresponding arm, either on the ceiling or on the wall. But above all, never forget the water connection for the shower telephone, it may or may not be incorporated into the wall bracket, and for this we also have water connections to power the shower telephone.

EXTERNAL

If you cannot propose a new pre-installation adapted to recessed solutions, choose from our models of external shower taps.

In this case, you can opt for a simple tap with an outlet for the shower telephone, where you will have to foresee the wall fixing of the holder for the shower telephone or a sliding bar for it. Or you can also opt for a complete shower set with an adjustable height shower head.
