Mediterranean Talks bring together leading experts to reflect on the Mediterranean and the bathroom at Casa Decor 2023

On 23 May, Sanycces organized a special edition of Mediterranean Talks, a series of meetings moderated by Futurea that bring together renowned interior designers. On this occasion, the renowned interior designer Jean Porsche and the architect Martín de Goya from Argo Arquitectura participated in the event. The event, which took place within the framework of Casa Decor 2023, was attended by more than 40 interior designers and specialized journalists.

During the meeting moderated by Pepa Casado, the prominent speakers reflected on the changes that the bathroom is currently undergoing and how new personal care rituals are transforming the way in which these spaces are conceived. The dialogue generated valuable conclusions that highlight the evolution of the bathroom towards a more open and personalized approach.

Martín de Goya noted: "The pieces of the home are becoming more humanized, more open to the home. The kitchen, bathroom and bedroom no longer fulfil exclusive functions, but are integrated into the design of the space as aesthetic and functional furniture. This evolution, which has occurred in the kitchen in recent years, is gradually spreading to bathrooms." In addition, he emphasised the importance of good design that combines beauty and functionality, meeting the customer's daily needs and reflecting their personal style.

Jean Porsche highlighted the importance of creating a harmonious home environment to promote emotional well-being: "A home is a reflection of who we are and having a harmonious environment is fundamental to our emotional well-being. The home can influence our daily attitude, how we feel when we wake up, when we leave the house or when we get dressed. It is an important element for self-awareness and emotional contentment in our daily activities."

The main conclusions of the meeting highlight the need for new solutions to personalise bathroom projects, as well as the expansion of the bathroom beyond its four walls. The experts agreed that the bathroom is becoming a space for self-care and that integration with other environments, such as the dressing room, is practical and harmonious.

Sanycces is grateful for the participation of Jean Porsche, Martín de Goya and all the attendees, who enriched the dialogue with their perspectives and knowledge. In these meetings we want to highlight our commitment to innovation and the search for new ways of conceiving the bathroom, inspiring design professionals and those who seek to create spaces that reflect their Mediterranean lifestyle.
