Bol Tp is a washbasin designed by Clausell Studio and selected in the iF Design Awards 2021. Let's learn a little more about its characteristics.
BOL TP
What makes it relevant compared to the rest?
The BOL washbasin was born from the search to integrate the taps into the washbasin following one of the most sober and obvious ways of containing liquids, the bowl. Starting from this premise, a washbasin is obtained with the essence of the traditional together with its subtle integration with the foot and the taps.
If something characterizes it, it is its intersection of the cylinder with the spherical figure, thus achieving a minimum surface necessary to install the tap together with the optimal use area for personal hygiene, in addition to ensuring a clean, free environment. from splashes during use and facilitate the maintenance of a hygienic space thanks to its easy-to-clean geometry.
Its material, Sanydur, is a gel coat that confers very good sanitary properties, developed by the Sanycces company, for which this washbasin has been designed.
IDEA
Relevance and fit for purpose
The relevance of the product lies in solving the problem of how to integrate a tap into a washbasin with one of the most sober and obvious ways of containing liquids, the bowl.
The cylinder that crosses the bowl represents the minimum surface necessary to install the faucet with geometries that make the sink hygienic and easy to clean.
FORM
Aesthetics, emotional appeal and execution
The slight elevation of the sink, due to its hidden pedestal, makes it appear to float, further increasing its lightness and at the same time allowing it to be cantilevered if desired, unlike other conventional bowl sinks. Its edge, softened on the inside, reinforces this light sensation and generates an expansive perception of being larger than it really is and giving it a pleasant and friendly appearance.
The product seeks to connect with a user who seeks sobriety in a sink. It is a washbasin where an intervention has been tried to eliminate everything superfluous. The appearance of the washbasin can also connect the user with the classic concept of a washbasin or vessel, but not explicitly.
This washbasin is made with molds and Sanydur material. A material developed by Sanycces, made up of a core of mineral fillers, resin and a gel coat surface that provides rigidity and sanitary properties to the product. It also gives it greater impermeability, toughness, resistance to chemical products and in general, giving it a long life and a series of advantages that differentiates it from the competition.
FUNCTION
Usability, efficiency and user benefit
It is designed to adjust to the need to which it responds, to function as a container into which water is poured for personal hygiene.
Its circular shape reminiscent of the traditional bowl, makes the area of use optimal, ensuring a clean environment, free of splashes during use and facilitating the maintenance of a hygienic space thanks to its easy-to-clean geometry.
The product ensures maximum optimization for bathrooms with countertop sinks that need to have integrated taps. This means being able to incorporate smaller taps, giving the user the opportunity to buy a product with character at an affordable cost.
DIFFERENTIATION
Innovation and brand differentiation
The way in which the volumes interact and integrate with each other makes the essence of the product, providing a simple, clean and orderly solution.
The product is framed within the philosophy of the company, internationalized but in line with its Mediterranean origin. They advocate a democratic product, that is why the conceptual commitment revolves around seeking beauty in simplicity.
IMPACT
Social benefit and sustainability
