As we have already mentioned, thermostatic faucets are those where the control of temperature and flow is done with independent selector handles. The flow is opened and closed by means of a stopcock. The temperature is controlled by the temperature selector, which rotates on a shaft. They come equipped with a safety button that must be pressed to pass 38 º C, this prevents burns. Its most common use is in shower and bath taps.

These faucets have the following advantages

• Once the temperature has been selected, if we keep it for other sessions, we only have to open the flow handle and the water will immediately come out at the desired temperature without having to invest time in regulating it over and over again as with single-lever faucets. This can also result in significant water savings in each session.

• The thermostatic faucets keep the mixed water at the selected temperature instantly. To do this, they have a thermocouple inside that regulates the cold and hot water inlets according to the real time temperature of each supply inlet. In this aspect the thermostatic tap is more comfortable, as it does not require the user to readjust the temperature.

• In terms of safety, thermostatic faucets offer the advantage of not accidentally exceeding 38º and avoiding burns, ideal if there are children or elderly people in the house.

• If for any reason the cold water supply is cut off, the tap is blocked to prevent burns. In addition our thermostatic shower faucets have the Safe Touch system: the hot water goes directly to the thermostatic cartridge. The cold water surrounds the entire outer perimeter of the body. With this the temperature of the contact surface is kept at safe values without risk of burns by contact.
